Crucial Post-Assignment Procedures

Translating – if it's not done right – can be a risky business.

As well as words that have multiple meanings, there are also cultural connotations with certain phrases that can have an adverse effect on the message you're trying to communicate. Similarly, there's the risk that your intended meaning will be lost if you attempt to directly translate from one language to another, as the task is rarely a simple case of swapping words from the mother tongue into its target equivalent, or vice-versa. Crucial Post-Assignment Procedures

The work of a quality-sensitive translation company is not completed when the translation is delivered to the client.

Rosetta Translation’s additional Feedback / Wrap-up Loop ensures that our clients receive maximum value from each individual assignment. An interative editing process based on client feedback guarantees client satisfaction and long term benefits.

With explicit client permission, translation of client- or industry-specific terminology derived from the assignment will be stored in the client database at Rosetta. This additional service is offered free of charge to our repeat customers. This database will then automatically be made available to translators and proofreaders working on future assignments. As a result, linguistic consistency is enhanced, and production costs of translation work can be reduced.

Feedback / Wrap-up Loop
  • Iterative amendments made following client feedback
  • Feedback added to client file for use in future translations
  • Updated client-specific and industry-specific glossary presented to client for review
  • Integration of reviewed client glossary and terminology in client-specific translation memory database at Rosetta Translation, to be used in all future assignments for the same client
